I can't believe people used to think it was an issue. It's a warm cozy reminder of happy times gone by. I don't think I associate it or get it during sad times, it's usually triggered by something, seeing your image of the Gameboy for example or the Back to the Future image.
When it came out me, my mum and dad used to play a life each on Super Mario Land and pass it on each time we died. We burned through some batteries! They weren’t so keen on Pokemon though.

Nostalgia helps me be sane and non-depressive but I only go back ten years as I am usually 10 years behind on purpose. :)

The ten-year thing helps avoid becoming too nostalgic as well as making sure I am aware of what I can avoid I would consider "woke." 😊
