The 9 Best Podcast Episodes of 2024
My top podcast episodes of the year: 9 conversations that shaped my 2024.
This year I listened to a lot of podcasts (my Spotify Wrapped revealed I listened to more than 3,000 minutes of podcasts), but only a handful truly left an impact.
So I’ve curated a list of the 9 podcast episodes I enjoyed the most.
And today I want to share them with you.
I hope they entertain and inspire you as much as they entertained and inspired me.
Some were released this year, others were hidden gems I just discovered.
I've split these between business insights (#3, #4, #6, #8, #9) and more general life wisdom (#1, #2, #5, #7).
Enjoy:
#1: Navy SEAL, Doctor and Astronaut Jonny Kim at the Jocko Podcast
Among the trillions of internet memes, there is one about a guy who has been a Navy SEAL, a NASA Astronaut and a Doctor at Harvard Medical School all at once, and before turning 40.
It’s not fantasy.
This guy exists and his name is Jonny Kim.
Despite his brutal childhood, he managed to accomplish what most would consider three lifetime achievements.
This podcast episode is about his story, narrated by the man himself.
#2: Gabor Maté conversation at the Feel Better Live More podcast
Dr Gabor Maté is a world-renowed expert on trauma, stress, addiction, childhood development, and a gift to humanity. In this episode, he discusses the 5 regrets of the dying:
Living a life that others want you to, rather than being true to yourself
Working too much
Not expressing your emotions
Not staying in touch with friends
Not letting yourself be happier - no playfulness or joy
#3: Revolut Founder Nik Storonsky about leadership, hiring and banking future
Nik Storonsky is the Co-Founder and CEO of Revolut, one of the fastest-growing companies in the world with a $45BN valuation and 50M customers worldwide.
This one is a great interview by Harry Stebbings for his 20VC podcast. One of the best business talks in 2024, especially if you’re into Revolut product and ways of working.
I was particularly impressed by Nik’s clarity, rational thinking and (very) strong accent. He delivers a masterclass in scaling a fintech giant.
#4: Salesforce Founder and CEO Marc Benioff interviewed by
Marc Benioff interned at Apple when he was 19 and later became friend with Steve Jobs.
Benioff is not your common podcast guest - quite the opposite. He rarely appeared in any in the past years, making this interview with special.
Marc Benioff founded Salesforce in 1999, now valued at $327BN.
This is a guy who convinced the enterprise world that programs would not be run on desktop, but on the cloud. And he did it when the only “cloud” we knew was the one in meteorology.
#5: Naval Ravikant at Joe Rogan’s podcast
Naval is an Indian-born American entrepreneur and investor, best known as the co-founder and former CEO of AngelList and the creator of the incredibly famous tweetstorm “How to get rich (without getting lucky)”.
Naval is an incredibly deep, articulate thinker (a philosopher-entrepreneur) and in this podcast episode he talks about his vision of wealth, freedom, and what it means to live a meaningful life.
If you don’t want to listen to the full episode but still interested in the content, I shared the key insights in this previous newsletter.
#6: Jeff Bezos at Lex Fridman podcast
Amazon Founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos is not someone who gives lengthy interview, and this was actually his first time.
Here Bezos talks about his childhood, space, how he understood he could not be a theoretical physicist, Amazon, and the principles that made it the giant it is today.
#7: David Goggins at the Huberman Lab podcast
David Goggins is a Retired Navy SEAL who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, a highly accomplished ultramarathon runner, a former Guinness World Record holder for completing 4,030 pull-ups in seventeen hours, and a best-selling author of two books.
After a traumatic childhood, in his 20s Goggins found himself obese (weighting more than 130kg) and working a job he hated for minimal pay.
In this conversation with Andrew Huberman, Goggins share the steps he took to transform his life, his mindset, and the daily struggle he faces to maintain his self-discipline.
#8: Marc Randolph (Co-Founder and Former Netflix CEO) at The Diary of A CEO podcast
Marc Randolph co-founded the company that disrupted the movie-rental business, the entertainment industry and that is now the most-subscribed video on demand streaming media service, with almost 300 million users worldwide: Netflix.
This conversation is simply a masterclass in entrepreneurship.
Marc is also very active on LinkedIn, where he shares advice, encouragement and tough love to aspiring entrepreneurs.
#9: Seth Godin interviewed by
Seth Godin is a Marketing icon, entrepreneur, and best-selling author of 21 books.
Every time I hear him talk, I’m learning something new.
In this conversation, Seth Godin discusses AI and branding in the age of AI, what you need to have an effective strategy in place, his famous concept of the purple cow, and many other things.
His stance on AI should be enough to make you interested in this conversation:
AI very soon is going to stop being a feature the same way electricity is not a feature.
Thank you

All great podcasts and some great names. Would love to see a woman on the list. :-)
surprised there’s no podcast with Marc Andreessen as a guest—I found them one of the best
